Welcome to Braintree & Bocking Swimming Club

Mr. Men Little Miss Marathon Challenge on Thursday 11th January, to raise money for Children with Cancer UK.

BBSC and swimmers have been invited to take part in a Mr. Men Little Miss Marathon Challenge on Thursday 11th January, to raise money for Children with Cancer UK.
The event will take place during normal training times and we will also have a raffle and cake stall to raise extra money (donations for both would be wonderful).

The Challenges are all linked to the number 26 - the number of miles in a marathon.

The younger swimmers will be challenged with 26 lengths of 25m, our slightly older with 26 lengths of 50m, moving up to 26 x 75m and 26 x 100m for our older swimmers.
Erica will be more than happy to let you know what group your swimmer will fall in.

Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. We fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and work to protect young lives through essential welfare and campaigning programmes.

By taking part in the Mr. Men and Little Miss Marathon Challenge and collecting sponsorship, your child will be helping children with cancer across the UK.

To say thank you, every participating child will receive a special Mr. Men and Little Miss medal from Children with Cancer UK.

Please return any sponsorship money to Leanne or a member of the committee before the end of January.

To find out more about the Challenge and how your child’s sponsorship money can help to save young lives, visitwww.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/mrmenlittlemiss.
